ABSTRACT
This article discusses the demise of lesbian activist groups in Los Angeles, California. The author does not share this pessimism or disappointment over the loss of these groups. Their passing may only mean that times are changing and perhaps a new consciousnesss is developing. Perhaps a turning point has been reached in the lesbian movement from which lesbians can begin to conceive, build, and create anew, forgetting the past.
