ABSTRACT
Jill E. Hershey, a former legislative aide to senator Rick Santorum belonging to the Republican Party of Pennsylvania, has been hired by the Bond Market Association as its chief Washington tax lobbyist. Hershey, who will have the title of vice president of legislative affairs, replaces Frank Hampton, who left the association at the end of May 2002 to return to his home state of Kansas to become a financial consultant with A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc. Hershey will play a key role in helping the association to advance its tax legislative agenda, including two major tax-exempt bond issues pending in the U.S. Congress.
