ABSTRACT
Universal and precise quantification of pulsatile and nonpulsatile pressure flow waveforms is necessary for direct and adequate comparisons among the results of different investigators. Every scientific paper on pulsatile and nonpulsatile flow in acute or chronic settings should have the hemo-dynamic energy levels for direct and meaningful comparisons of pulsatile flow or different forms of pulsatility. Energy Equivalent Pressure formula is the best tool for direct comparisons on different perfusion modes during extracorporeal circulation.
