ABSTRACT
Municipal bond yields rose three basis points on June 25, 2003, while underwriters received $56 million in retail orders on $224 million of Connecticut general obligation bonds ahead of institutional pricing on June 26. Peter Kretzmer, senior economist at Bank of America, said the New York manufacturing index was stronger than expected resulting in a weakening in the Treasury market. In the new-issue market, Goldman, Sachs & Co. received $56 million in retail orders on $224 million of Connecticut general obligation bonds ahead of institutional pricing on June 26.
