ABSTRACT
The significance of league table rankings have been extensively used in the convertibles market. Bankers pointed to the aggressive pricing tactics firms such as Banc of America, UBS Warburg and Deutsche Bank have used to try and gain market share. But, the convertible business have been limited to certain groups. J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. led the underwriting league table for U.S. convertibles as of May 19, 2003. Morgan Stanley & Co. was ranked second, with 4.75 billion dollar of issuance and a 14.4 percent market share.
