ABSTRACT
The article reports on the start of the impeachment proceedings against Thailand's former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra in January 2015. The political landscape in the country after the removal of Shinawatra from office for abuse of power in May 2014 is discussed. Also discussed is the conflict between the Bangkok-based royal establishment supporters known as the yellow shirts and supporters of the Shinawatra family known as the red shirts.
