ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the decline of retail jewelry prices in the U.S. in May 2014. It states that retail jewelry prices decreased on both month-to-month and year-to-year basis and was found suffering a great deal of volatility since September 2013. However, the Jewelry Producer Price Index (JPPI) experienced a slight rise due to the increase of wholesale jewelry prices during the aforementioned month.
