Up to 30,000 employees throughout HBOS PLC are being encouraged to familiarize themselves with the company's online banking service using an intranet-based simulation. The training tool, which will be used by staff at HBOS call centers and branches, is the by-product of a marketing initiative aimed at encouraging customers to bank online. Prior to the adoption of the Verisim-developed software simulation, staff familiarity with the online banking service depended on disordered training methods. Although this new approach has given a focus to staff training, it will remain up to individuals whether or not to use it.
