ABSTRACT
Ben Watkins, director of the Florida Division of Bond Finance, said that the Series 2003 pollution control bonds, with maturities between 2004 and 2023, soon will be put on 18-hours notice to sell with the exact sale date awaiting appropriate market conditions. The offering is being led by UBS PaineWebber Inc. Proceeds from the bonds will finance $92 million of wastewater treatment and stormwater management projects for 11 local governments. The bond program itself is part of the Florida clean-water state revolving fund loan program. The corporation first issued $50 million of revenue bonds in 2001, receiving triple-A ratings from Fitch Ratings Inc. and Moody's Investors Service Inc.
