ABSTRACT
The article presents a study on the determination of a human ischaemia-reperfusion (IR) model in relation to oxidative and inflammatory biomarkers. Topics include the cause of IR injury, the analysis of the volunteers' blood for malondialdehyde (MDA), tumor necrosis factor, and ascorbic acid, and the use of a pneumatic tourniquet. It also discusses the oxidative and inflammatory markers in plasma and the visual analogue scale (VAS) pain scores.
