ABSTRACT
The image fusion technology is the hot research area and important branch in information fusion and computer vision area. based on the traditional wavelet theory and some strengths of HIS transform, this paper proposes a new algorithm for multi-source remote sensing image fusion based on combined HIS and wavelet transform. This algorithm uses the improved weighted average algorithm as the low-frequency factor fusion rule. The area energy method is used as the weighted fusion rule. The SPOT image and TM image for same scenario are used for algorithm validation. The test results and the objective assessment data such as information entropy, mean, relevancy factor, offset indicator and intersection entropy indicate that our method can get better fusion results.
