ABSTRACT
Presents an abstract of a study which found that fermented alcoholic beverages stimulate gastric acid secretion. Comparison of the effects of fermented and distilled alcoholic beverages on maximal gastric acid output (GAO) and serum gastrin levels; Percentage of increase in GAO caused by beverages produced by fermentation.
