Presents an abstract from a study by D. Sharpstone and colleagues on the administration of thalidomide for the treatment of microsporidiosis that was published in a 1998 issue of the "American Journal of Gastroenterology"; Effect of microsporidiosis on the occurrence of diarrhea among AIDS patients; Clinical response of patients with AIDS-chronic diarrhea from the drug; Decrease in stool frequency among the patients.
